Tools for the macho girl
This is a photo of the stone paving I laid today. Please note that they will clean up (a lot of dust is on them at the moment.) I also have to grout in between.
Not bad eh? The porch area was the fiddly and probably the hardest part because I needed to do a fair bit of cutting. Luckily I have all limbs in tact.
My back is suffering (the largest slabs weigh I guess 25-30kilos), I don't like wearing gloves, so I have a few raw patches from cement burns, my gluteus maximus is killing me, but it doesn't matter,
because,
I am a cool hot macho girl !!!

Awesome! Looks good, my friend. I hate doing the cutting as I am not very good at that part, but it appears you have done a right fine job. It looks fabulous! I'm sure Mrs. K will be pleased with it when you are finished.
The cutting part scares me a bit, not because the sparks are flying, but sometimes the grinder kicks back. The last time I did paving I narrowly missed cutting myself where you really don't want to be cut.
Damn, that's impressive. Cool. What can I say? I have never done this and never will.

Well done! I tiled my bathroom but am not strong enough to do paving. I agree with you about the gloves, you just can't work properly in them! I always end up sliced to bits. xx
Hello Signs I am glad you had a great time in Scotland. Doing this makes me feel cool I must say. Though now I am at the stage where I am fed up with it and its going to be one of those jobs that takes endless weekends!
